Worship 343 Live 04/22/2008 | 04:48 am It was an awesome evening, and I continue to hear so many great comments. We are so blessed to be in a place that allows us to do what we do. There is a movement at Christ Fellowship that is reaching this entire county for Christ. It is exciting, and our Night of Worship was just a taste. ATTENTION: Very soon, we will be moving to planningcenteronline, for our music. The new site where you can pick up this info is: cfmusic.org. There, you will find a link to my blog as well as to planning center, and other sweet treats. More info to follow |

It was amazing! 04/14/2008 | 01:24 pm Thanks to everyone who made the evening what it was. What is exciting to me is that we can do this every weekend in our worship services! That's right. Our worship staff is passionate about our Lord. We are excited about the movement of God at Christ Fellowship. Let us pray that God will protect all that we do. That we will please Him above all else. I am humbled to serve along side all of you. Thank you Lord. If you have not ordered your CD and DVD combo, don't forget to do so. I love you all. Sammy |

A Sunrise Like This 03/23/2008 | 09:51 pm I don't know what the sunrise was like when Jesus exited the tomb, but because He's alive, we are alive! This had to be one of the most exciting weekends we have ever had at Christ Fellowship. The Lord is awesome! A big thanks to the Stomp Team, Hector, who put in extreme hours to get the new Control Room at Palmetto Bay up and running, Jeff and Landon for resourcing our other campuses, and to all our musicians and media team. It was a fabulous weekend! Get ready for The Dirty Dozen. Ordinary men, doing amazing things. It's gonna be great. Sammy |

He Who has promised is Faithful 03/16/2008 | 09:20 pm The Navigators home office is in Colorado Springs. That's where I was last weekend. This pic was very special to me because that is who my daughter April works for, as well as her my future son-in-law. The Nav's is a discipleship and evangelistic organization that is committed to growing fully committed disciples for Christ. She and Joel do this fully on faith. They raise their own support. Why do I mention this you ask? Well, you know that April was hit by a truck that totaled her car. Now here is the part of the story that is awesome. She was given a car! That's right. A friend of Joel's who had just purchased a new car was praying about what he should do with his old car. Hearing that Joel and April were looking for a second hand car, God spoke to Joel's friend, and on Friday, I saw Joel and April drive to our home in the coolest example on how God takes care of His children. He who has promised is faithful. This is the last weekend before Easter. Invite you friends, and ask them which service they will attend and then attend that service with them. Let's pack Christ Fellowship. God bless you. |
New Life Worship 3/10/2008 Well, JR and I returned this morning from Colorado Springs and New Life Church, where we attended the preview weekend for their school of worship. It was a good trip. We met with the director and amazing worship leader with The Desperation Band, Glen Packiam as well as awesome song writer, Jared Anderson. We brought back with us a lot of information which will help us launch a school of worship here at Christ Fellowship. I also want to thank Jim, Sandy, Katie and Emily for allowing JR and I to invade their home. As you know the Speicher family were active here at Christ Fellowship and recently moved to Colorado Springs. We miss them here, but we know that God will bless them and they will be a blessing to others while they are there. They were great hosts and we will be forever grateful to them and their love. Easter is around the corner. Hey folks; this year, invite someone but tell them that you will go with them to the service that they would prefer to attend. We have 5 campuses and 11 services. Let them pick one and you go with them to that service. Be praying now for who you will be bringing. God bless you Running for the Prize Sammy |

New Life School of Worship 03/04/2008 | 01:30 pm JR and I will be in Colorado Springs this weekend checking out the New Life School of Worship. They are having a preview weekend and we are wanting to check it out. We have been talking about and praying about beginning a school of worship here at Christ Fellowship, so this is an investigative trip. This is the church that has produced The Desperation Band. We do some of their songs here. We will stay the weekend to worship with them. Pray for us. We can't wait to come back and share with you our thoughts. This past weekend was amazing. The artwork, the message, the music...it was incredible. Don't miss this weekend. Hey...begin to invite your friends to our Easter Services. 5 Campuses, 11 services! See ya. |

Are You Ready? 2/27/2008 This weekend we launched a pre-service meeting of leaders and volunteers on the Palmetto Bay Campus. On Saturdays, it begins at 5:50 PM and on Sundays, it begins at 8:20 AM. It lasts for only about 10 minutes max. It is a way to rally the troops, remembering why we do what we do and to pray for the weekend. It was a great start, and we saw folks come to Christ this weekend in our services. That's what it's all about. Being ready, being on time for our guests, and giving our best for God. God is blessing Christ Fellowship and we want to do our part. Come join us just outside the entrance to our worship center. It's great! Beginning this weekend: Master Peace. Don't miss it and invite your friends. Running Toward The Prize, Sammy |
26.2 miles later... 02/17/2008 | 08:35 pm It's Sunday evening and my body is telling me that I pushed it to the limit today. It was a beautiful day that started with some anxious moments. Driving, gear, race breakfast, proper fluids, parking, etc. Once we made it to the start line, then it was just, do what I had been doing in training for the last several months. In the pack of around 3500 runners I made my way up and down A1A. Shared with of few runners why I was running. The Lord is awesome that way. He always gives us the opportunity to share our faith. I felt really good. My injury never acted up, as it had before. But around mile 22, I just wanted to stop and lie and sleep. I was pushing like never before. Then the Lord brought someone by me. Really! The guy comes next to me, (he was a pace setter) and said, "Sammy, Christ Fellowship. I was there last night at worship. You can do it. Only a few miles left." It was exactly what I needed to push me those last two miles. To see my beautiful bride and my great kids waiting at the finish line was awesome. Something I will never forget. They are the real heroes. I love you all. What a journey. Now it is just a memory. A good one, but just a memory. There are many things I will remember of the experience. The planning, the early morning runs, the pain...but most of all, it will be the time spent with my precious Lord. He has pushed me spiritually. I have grown closer to Him. (more later). For all of you that prayed for me, and encouraged me along the way. Thank you so much. WE DID IT. Running toward the prize,
